Psychophysiological Research Laboratory has been established as a new independent research unit in March 2013 by orders of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Rector of the University.

The main tasks and functions assigned to the laboratory as a research unit of the university are set in accordance with the Regulations on the measuring clinical diagnostic laboratory. The main goal of the policy of the psychophysiological laboratory in the field of quality assurance of functional research is to achieve and maintain a high level of organization, informativeness, objectivity and reliability.

The Psychophysiological Research Laboratory conducts preclinical instrumental studies of the functional state of the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine systems of the human body and the impact of various environmental factors in normal and various pathological conditions on it.

The laboratory implements innovative methods of research of the human body, provides timely and high-quality laboratory research, provides educational process for the students, as well as conducts preventive examinations of university staff. A number of preclinical, instrumental researches on planned scientific work and dissertations of young scientists are performed on the basis of the laboratory. The laboratory provides assistance to researchers and graduate students of the university in conducting research. Also, research is performed here for other institutions and organizations in accordance with the field of certification of the unit.

The laboratory is constantly implementing progressive methods that have scientific value, based on a combination of scientific research and educational process, that is approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The functioning of psychophysiological research laboratory was made in compliance with all the requirements for research laboratories according to the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) to ensure and promote safety, consistency and high quality.

The design of the experimental laboratory provides the appropriate degree of distribution of various activities to ensure the proper conduct of each type of research.

Improving the quality of laboratory tests is provided by systematic intra-laboratory and inter-laboratory quality control.
